Five trains stopped due to Corona have not started in Chapainawabganj

Md Farooq Hossain, Chapainawabganj: Chapainawabganj is the northern district bordering the country. Every day about 250 to 3000 passengers travel by train from this district to different parts of the country. Before Corona, 7 trains including Antanagar Silk City, Dhumketu, Sattal, Local were running non-stop. But when the corona epidemic started, 5 trains were stopped. These closed trains have not started yet. Since the trains have been stopped for almost two and a half years, the passengers are suffering. Railway authorities have not taken any measures to run the trains. However, the local administration says that the trains will be started very soon. Meanwhile, the civic committee has submitted several memorandums to various departments with human chains demanding the immediate running of trains without interruption, but nothing has been done. And local political leaders say, why the trains given by the Prime Minister are not yet running is also questionable. However, Awami League leaders are blaming the local member of parliament for not running the trains. Muniruzzaman Monir, member secretary of Chapainawabganj Citizens Committee, said that the demand of the people of Chapainawabganj will soon take the initiative to run all trains including inter-city trains from Chapainawabganj. Even though trains have started everywhere after Corona, we don't know the exact reason why the trains in Chapainawabganj are closed. Many times we have approached the Deputy Commissioner, local MP and senior railway officials about the human chain memorandum under the banner of the civic committee, but we are disappointed that the trains are not running. Chapainawabganj District Awami League General Secretary and former MP Abdul Odud said, as promised by the Prime Minister, we have got some trains including inter-city, Banalta Express. However, I don't understand why the trains are not running after Corona. I think this is the local MP's job. He will see why it is not running. The district Awami League has requested to start the closed trains very quickly to save the suffering of the people of Chapai. On the other hand, Chapainawabganj Railway Station Master Shahidul Islam said, I do not know why the trains are closed. We do not have any information about when the trains will start. Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan said that we have received the memorandum to start the closed trains. I have reported the matter to the higher authorities. Trains will start very soon inshallah. Rajshahi Western Railway General Manager (GM) Asim Kumar Talukder did not answer the call when contacted on mobile to inquire about the running of the trains.
