59 arrested in anti-narcotics operation in the capital

News Desk: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 59 people for the crime of selling and consuming drugs in the capital city. They were arrested from 6 am on Thursday (September 29) to 6 am on Friday (September 30) in various police stations of the capital. Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Department of DMP. Farooq Hossain said that 8 thousand 250 yaba, 40 grams of heroin, 16 kg of 150 grams of ganja and 3 bottles of phensidyl were seized from the accused. He said that 39 cases under the Narcotics Control Act have been filed against the accused at the DMP police station.
