International Desk: Four regions of Ukraine will officially join Russia on Friday. Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of the country are officially joining the Russian Federation. The world media has reported that these four regions have organized a ceremony at the Kremlin Hall in Moscow, Russia, to declare their part. This program will start at 3 pm. Putin will make a speech as well as sign documents at the event. Apart from this, a concert has also been organized in Red Square, a little away from the Kremlin Wall. Tight security has been deployed across Russia to mark the formal signing of the four regions of Ukraine's annexation agreement with Russia. A group of soldiers has been deployed in the famous Red Square. Putin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the four regions were being annexed to the Russian Federation in response to the call of the rulers after the referendum. After the signing of the relevant document, Putin will deliver an important speech. However, it is not certain whether Putin will go to the concert organized in Red Square. But in 2014, after taking control of Crimea, a similar event was organized. At that time, however, Putin went to Red Square. On the other hand, Ukraine has announced that it will continue to fight to save the four mentioned territories. At the same time, the Western world criticized this move and announced more sanctions on Russia. While Moscow is in a festive mood, Kiev, Ukraine is full of excitement. The President of the country Volodymyr Zelensky has called a meeting on what kind of steps will be taken after the "invasion" of Russia. The meeting will be attended by top officials of the country's security department and politicians. Zelensky said on Thursday that Russia's so-called referendum has no value. It will not change the reality. Territorial integrity of Ukraine will be restored. Russian actions will be met with a strong response. The United States and the European Union have already announced that they will impose more sanctions on Russia. However, there is disagreement about the sanctions that will be imposed by the EU. Hungary has said it will not support the embargo if the fuel is covered. Serbia, known as Russia's ally, Kazakhstan also says that they will not recognize this move by Russia. Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who brought Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table, condemned Putin's move. Earlier in 2014, Crimea was annexed by a referendum and annexed to the Russian Federation, which was part of Ukraine. Kherson, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk and Luhansk regions are now under Russian control. Russian President Putin announced today that 15 percent of Ukraine's territory will go out of control. If these areas are lost, Ukraine's agricultural production will decrease by 13 to 16 percent. The area of this territory is 90 thousand square kilometers, which is equal to the territory of countries like Hungary or Portugal. No country has been able to forcibly occupy such a large territory of any European country since World War II. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov has announced that the military operation in Donetsk will continue despite the annexation of four regions of Ukraine. He said, still 40 percent of Donetsk area is under the control of Ukraine. Russian forces will continue to fight until they gain control of these areas. However, Ukraine has announced that it will continue to fight to get back the territory under Russian control. Ukrainian forces have already regained control of several areas of Kharkiv. In addition, the Ukrainian forces are surrounding the city of Liman. In this situation, the United States has announced to give more weapons. As a result, experts fear that the Russia-Ukraine war may become more intense.
