Sister-in-law slaughtered in Manikganj, brother-in-law arrested

Md Sohail Rana Khan, Manikganj:  Brother-in-law Sohail Nurun Nabi (26) has been arrested on charges of hacking his sister-in-law Rubel Mia to death in Manikganj Sadar Upazila. He was arrested on Friday from Putail Unienor Kaitra area of ​​Sadar Upazila. Earlier, the incident took place at Mamun Hatchery in Kaitra area of ​​the upazila on Friday midnight. The arrested Sohail Nurun Nabi is the son of deceased Altu Mia of Rajnagar area of ​​Kendua in Netrakona. Deceased Rubel Mia is the son of Renu Mia of Taraswar area of ​​Itna in Kishoreganj. He worked as a laborer by profession.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manikganj Sadar Police Station Abdur Rauf Sarkar confirmed the matter and said that the deceased Rubel Mia used to work as a laborer in Sadar Upazila Kaitra Mamun Hatchery and lived in the hatchery. Malek Sohel Nurun Nabi came to visit his sister-in-law at the hatchery on September 16. But he was seen stealing from the hatchery in the middle of the night and he stopped and forbade the stealing. Without listening to the prohibition of the brother-in-law, the brother-in-law sold the bricks on Friday night and asked the owner to pay the money for the bricks. At this time, brother-in-law and sister-in-law quarreled. At one point, when the sister-in-law tried to kill her brother-in-law, Sohail Nurun Nabi killed her by stabbing her inside the house.

Abdur Rauf Sarkar said that the brother-in-law was arrested at night from inside the hatchery and the family members of the deceased have been informed. The body of the deceased was recovered and sent to Manikganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy. In this case, the process of the case is going on at the Sadar police station.
