About 45 percent of the work has been completed so far. However, the installation of the first span of the bridge will be completed in October this year. This mega project is being built with the combination of iron and concrete of new technology. Modern span sitting on the bridge. Due to the use of this new technology, it will not need to be painted separately. This process is quite durable. It is said that as a result, the structure of the bridge will not rust even in 100 years. Even the color of the girder will change automatically as the weather changes. The work of Bangabandhu Railway Bridge will be completed in 2024. In this regard, Sirajganj Economic Zone Director Sheikh Monowar Hossain said that the businessmen are also happy that the work of this bridge is progressing quickly. Agricultural and industrial products can be transported directly from the northern region to the entire country by train at a low cost. Sirajganj Economic Zone and Bisik Industrial Park have already been built on the west side of the bridge. After the construction of the railway bridge, the industrial products produced from here can be transported by train to the country and abroad. President of Sirajganj Chamber and Commerce, brave freedom fighter Abu Yusuf Surya said, if the Bangabandhu railway bridge is implemented, a new horizon of railway communication with the capital will be the beginning of a new horizon.
