A record 399 dengue patients were admitted to hospital in one day in the country, one died

News Desk: 399 people have been admitted to the hospital in the last 24 hours due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. With this, the number of patients admitted to the hospital stood at 1 thousand 483. During this time, 1 death due to dengue was reported.

Earlier, on September 15, a maximum of 399 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital.

Sunday (September 18) in charge of Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health Dr. Md. This information was given in the dengue report signed by Zahidul Islam.

According to the report, 399 new dengue patients were admitted to the hospital between 8 am on Saturday and 8 am on Sunday. Among the new patients, 280 people are receiving treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka. 119 people are receiving treatment outside Dhaka.

Currently, a total of 1,483 people are admitted to various public and private hospitals in the country due to dengue. Among them, 1 thousand 89 people are receiving treatment in 50 government and private hospitals of Dhaka. 394 people are admitted in different hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the information of the Department of Health, from January 1 to September 18 this year, 11 thousand 177 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 9 thousand 649 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital.

Meanwhile, 8 thousand 815 people have been admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and 7 thousand 705 people have recovered and returned home. 2 thousand 362 people were admitted outside Dhaka and 1 thousand 944 people returned home after recovery.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Health reported the death of 1 person due to dengue in the last 24 hours. A total of 45 people have died from dengue since January 1. The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year.

During the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue fever across the country. In the same year, 105 people died of dengue nationwide.
