News desk: A low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has said that rain may increase in Khulna for the time being. As a result of this, the agency has predicted that rain will increase across the country by the end of this week.

There was some rain in Chittagong and Sylhet from Sunday (September 18) morning to Monday (September 19) morning under the influence of southwest monsoon. Apart from this, very little rain has been received in other sections. Chittagong has received the highest rainfall of 41 mm during this period. 1 mm of rain has fallen in Dhaka.

Meteorologist Md. Omar Farooq said, a low pressure has formed over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, which is currently located in North West Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere in northern Bay of Bengal.

From Sunday morning to Monday morning, rain was forecast at some places in 5 divisions and at two places in 3 divisions.

However, highlighting the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Monday, Omar Farooq said that many places in Khulna division (51 to 75 percent places) and some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions (26 to 50 percent) Place) Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds and lightning. At the same time, moderate to heavy rain may occur in some parts of the country.

At this time, the weatherman said that the temperature of day and night may remain almost unchanged throughout the country, and the trend of rain may increase in the next three days.

Srimangal, Moulvibazar, recorded the highest temperature in the country on Sunday and the lowest on Monday. The maximum temperature there was 35.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 23.1 degrees Celsius.
