News desk: Awami League presidium member Advocate Kamrul Islam said, "Awami League supported the caretaker government to rescue the people from a suffocating situation." Brahmanbaria District Association organized the funeral. Kamrul Islam said, “We have seen the form of caretaker government. People of all professions were tortured by that government. Even university teachers were sent to jail.” Highlighting Akbar Ali Khan's contribution in the liberation war, Kamrul Islam said, "In the liberation war, he (Akbar Ali Khan) handed over weapons to the freedom fighters on his own responsibility. He deposited 3 crore rupees in the treasury of the Bangladesh government at that time for the freedom fighters.” He also said, “When Akbar Ali Khan wanted to return to teaching, Bangabandhu gave him that opportunity.
