A record 360 dengue patients admitted to hospital in one day, 1 death

News Desk: Dengue outbreak is increasing in the country. In the last 24 hours, 360 more dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital. This is the highest number of dengue patients admitted to the hospital in a single day this year.

At this time one more person died due to dengue infection. With this, the number of dengue deaths in the country has reached 33 and the number of dengue patients admitted to various hospitals has increased to 1128.

On Sunday (September 11), the regular dengue report of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health has given this information. 294 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital on Saturday.

According to the report, 239 of those newly admitted to the hospital due to dengue are residents of Dhaka. At this time, 121 people were newly admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka due to dengue.

Currently, 893 people are admitted in different government and private hospitals of Dhaka. And a total of 235 patients are outside Dhaka.

From January 1 of this year to today (September 11), a total of 8,750 patients have been admitted to the hospital. Among them, 7 thousand 71 patients were admitted in Dhaka and 1 thousand 679 patients were admitted in different districts outside Dhaka.

Among the total dengue patients, 7 thousand 589 people have recovered and left the hospital so far. Among them, the total number of discharged patients in Dhaka is 6 thousand 165 and the total number of patients discharged outside Dhaka is 1 thousand 424. Meanwhile, 33 people have died due to dengue so far this year.

From May this year, the dengue infection started to rise slightly, 163 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue in that month. 737 people in June, 1 thousand 571 people in July and maximum 3 thousand 521 people were admitted in August. So far in September, the number of infections has reached 2,569.
