A memorandum of understanding has been signed

News Desk: Seven MoUs have been signed between Bangladesh and India. These agreements were signed after a bilateral meeting between Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi on Tuesday (September 6). In a bilateral meeting at Hyderabad House, Sheikh Hasina and Narendra Modi discussed reviewing and strengthening the relationship between the two countries, Indian news agency ANI said. Some of the MoUs that have been signed include an agreement on withdrawal of water from the much-desired Kushiara river. Besides, MoUs have been signed for cooperation between the judicial authorities of the two countries, coordination between the National Defense Colleges of both the countries, modernization of railways, capacity building and cooperation in the IT sector. Increased to overcome the crisis in the wake of the global economic recession and the Covid-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine war. Cooperation is also believed to have been discussed. After signing the MoU, the leaders of both countries addressed a joint press conference. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was welcomed by Narendra Modi when she reached Hyderabad House. He was accorded a ceremonial reception. A guard of honor was provided there and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inspected the guard and received the salute. The national anthems of the two countries were played. The spokesperson of the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, said in a tweet that the two leaders have met a total of 12 times since 2015. In a tweet, Arindam Bagchi said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina discussed to review and further strengthen the all-round India-Bangladesh partnership. They have met 12 times since 2015. Regular discussions between our leaders are adding significant momentum to the relationship. India-Bangladesh delegation level meeting led by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina discussed several issues. Regional connectivity, energy, water resources, trade and investment, border management and security, development partnership and regional and multilateral issues were discussed on their agenda, Arindam said in a tweet.
