President Fazlu Secretary Saikat was elected in the biennial election of Pabna Press Club

Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: ABM Fazlur Rahman (Samakal and NTV) has been re-elected president and Saikat Afroz Asad (Bangladesh Pratidin and BD News) editor in the bi-annual elections of Pabna Press Club. Voting was held on Saturday (September 3) from 3 pm to 6 pm at the press club auditorium. Voters exercised their franchise in a peaceful and festive atmosphere. After counting, the result was announced at 8:30 pm. The winners of other positions in the election are two vice-presidents Mirza Azad (acting editor, daily Pabnar Alo) and Shahidur Rahman Shahid (editor, daily New World News), joint-editor Sarwar Ullas (first Alo), finance editor Sushil Tarafdar (Bangladesh Betar), Literary and Cultural Editor Yad Ali Mridha Pavel (Daily Statement), Sports Editor Kalit Talukder (Jamuna Television), Welfare Editor Rafiqul Islam Sweet (Bass) and Office Editor Kanu Sanyal (Dainik Bangladeshi Khabar). Apart from this, those elected as executive members are Rabiul Islam Rabi (Editor-in-Chief, Daily Pabna Pratidin), Yachin Ali Mridha Ratan (Editor, Daily Statement), Abdul Matin Khan (Editor, Jhor Bangla), Zahurul Islam (Dainik Dinkal), Rajiur Rahman Rumi. (Ekushey TV), Abdur Rasheed (Daily Bhor Dak) and Abu Hasnat Ayyub (Editor Today's History). Out of total 63 voters, 57 voters exercised their right to vote. Advocate Mirza Azizur Rahman served as Chief Election Commissioner. The election commissioners were advocate Shajahan Ali Mondal and professor Paritosh Kumar Kundu.
