Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: The policemen bade farewell to Pabna Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mohibul Islam Khan BPM (promoted to the post of Additional DIG) by decorating the car with flowers and pulling the car with a flower rope. On Saturday (August 27) afternoon, the farewell reception was held at Police Lines organized by the District Police. At that time, the policemen pulled the car with a flower rope and took him to the road. Other police officers became emotional during the SP's departure. Earlier, a farewell reception was organized for outgoing SP Police Lines. Punak president and SP's wife Shaharina Jahan, PBI Police Superintendent Fazle Elahi, Pabna Additional Superintendent of Police Masood Alam, Additional Superintendent of Police Chatmohar Circle Sajib Sahreen, Sujanagar Circle Rabiul Islam, Bara Circle Kallal Kumar Dutt and all the district police officers were present. Incidentally, Mahibul Islam Khan joined Pabna as Superintendent of Police on January 1, 2021 and was promoted as Additional DIG in June this year. He has been transferred to RAB. Be widely praised by the people of the district for giving a fair election in Pabna soon after joining. After that, he presented UP elections in 9 upazilas and elections in Bara Municipality in a fair and peaceful manner. Finally, in June of this year, the controversial Bhardara Union Parishad elections of Sadar Upazila also weighed heavily on his praise. In this way, in just one and a half years of his tenure, he was selected as the best Superintendent of Police in Rajshahi Division several times by carrying out commendable activities in the protection of law and order including drug, terrorism suppression, stopping illegal sand mining, recovering illegal weapons. During this period, Pabna Police was also selected as the best district police in the department several times.
