The court sentenced Shamsuddoha to two years and six months of rigorous imprisonment. He was also fined 20,000 taka. Plaintiff's lawyer Adv. Shah Md. Abu Zafar confirmed this information and said that on Tuesday (August 16) afternoon, Faridpur Women and Child Torture Prevention Court Judge Pradip Kumar Roy gave this order. Meanwhile, the police inspector said. Shamsuddoha was present in the court. It is known that Police Inspector Md. Shamsuddoha is the son of Nuruddin Ahmed of Paschim Gopinathpur village of Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district. He is working as Police Inspector (Investigation) in Darshana Police Station, Chuadanga. Earlier, he was arrested from Dhaka's Rajabazar in a case filed by his wife Farzana Khandkar under the Prevention of Torture against Women Act. It is to be noted that the wife Farzana Khandkar filed a case under the Prevention of Women and Child Torture Act against Shamsuddoha at Faridpur Kotwali Police Station on February 9 as the plaintiff. Later on the night of February 24 this year, he was arrested by the Gulshan Thana police from Rajabazar area of ​​Dhaka. The next morning on February 25, Shamsuddoha was brought to Faridpur's Kotwali police station and sent to Faridpur's learned court for trial. Farzana Khandaker got married to Shamsuddoha on August 7, 2015. After marriage, she lived at her father's house in Faridpur till October 2019. In November of that year, Samsuddoha took him to Jessore, his workplace. He went to a rented house there. A few days after going to Jessore, the wife noticed a drastic change in her husband's behavior. At that time, his wife Farzana came to know that Shamsuddoha was having an extramarital affair with another girl. When he stopped in this regard, the torture started on him from that time. After a few days, Shamsuddoha asked him to bring 70 lakh rupees from his father for promotion. He also brought 15 lakh rupees, but he was not happy with it. After that, the torture increased. His wife claimed that Shamsuddoha used to get drunk and beat him up every day. At that time he moved to his father's house from there. At that time the wife was three months pregnant. The mother of the son is born in the father's house. The child is now two years old.
