Javed Iqbal Chowdhury, Cox's Bazar: Narcotics Control Directorate Teknaf Special Zone and Teknaf Coast Guard members conducted a joint operation in the sea and arrested 6 Myanmar nationals along with half a million pieces of Yaba. Meanwhile, a fishing boat used in yaba smuggling has also been seized. The operation was carried out on Tuesday, August 16, at 3 o'clock in the morning, 3 nautical miles south of St. Martin's Cheradawip on the border of Bangladesh. Sirajul Mustafa, Assistant Director of Teknaf Special Zone of Narcotics Control Directorate confirmed the truth of the operation. It is known that a large consignment of drugs will enter Bangladesh from Myanmar, Coast Guard Lt. Commander Ashiq Ahmed (Taz) BN and Narcotics Control Directorate Teknaf Special Zone Assistant Director Md. Sirajul Mostafa jointly conducted a special operation in St. Martin Sea area. On August 16, at approximately 3 pm, a fishing boat was seen coming from Myanmar border to Bangladesh border, 3 nautical miles south east of Saint Martin Cheradawip. When the boat was signaled to stop by torches and whistles, the boat did not stop and tried to escape towards Myanmar. Narcotics Control Directorate Teknaf Special Zone Assistant Director Sirajul Mostafa said that when the members of the youth dictionary team chased and approached the boat, they tried to attack the members of the raiding team from the boat with indigenous weapons. Meanwhile, the Coast Guard members fired 4 rounds of blank bullets. Later, the raiding team members searched the said boat and seized 1 lakh 70 thousand pieces of yaba and a smartphone without a SIM card (broken) and 6 Myanmar nationals were arrested along with the engine driven wooden boat. The arrested are Kefayet Ullah (22), son of deceased Noor Ahmed of Ghatiakhali Police Station, Master Dil Mohammad Pradilla Majhi area of ​​Akiab district in Myanmar, Md Sharif (27), son of deceased Abdul Ghaffar, Md Hochan (38), son of Jalal Uddin, Chhaidur Rahman (43), son of deceased Hared. ), Md Hochan (27) son of deceased Rashid Ahmed and Noor Hossain (21) son of Noor Kabir. Narcotics Control Directorate Teknaf Special Zone Assistant Director Sirajul Mostafa said that a case is being filed under the Narcotics Control Act against the seized yaba, wooden boat and others.
