The announcement was made by the DNCC Mayor on Tuesday (August 16) at around 11:00 a.m. when he visited the accident site of the BRT project in Uttara.

He said, BRT authorities are in front of me. I also spoke to them yesterday. Talked to the secretary. I have said that I will stop the work of BRT. You will sit with me tomorrow. Not only this project, all the projects going on in Dhaka city will be closed.
