Free medical camp organized by Magura Reporters Unity on the occasion of National Mourning Day

Ali Ashraf, Magura: "Journalists not only in pen, but in service" Free medical camp and free medicine distribution campaign was held in Magura on the occasion of National Day of Mourning on August 15. Organized by Magura Reporters Unity, a day-long program was held at Shaheed Syed Atar Ali Public Library on Monday morning. Services at the medical camp include free patient registration, free diagnosis of all types of diseases and distribution of free medicines. In the day-long campaign, free medical care was provided to about 12 hundred patients from different parts of the district. A blood donation program is conducted by Magura Red Crescent Society in the said medical camp. Magura Reporters Unity President HN Kamrul Islam presided over the campaign with the assistance of Magura Civil Surgeon General Secretary of Magura Reporters Unity Journalist Md Yunus Ali conducted the campaign. At that time, the specialist doctors working in Magura district were present, Dr. Md. Mehedi Hassan, Junior Consultant (Medicine) Department of Magura 250 Bed Hospital, Dr. Md. Julie Chowdhury, Junior Consultant (Surgery) Dr. Ferdous Raihan, Emergency Medical Officer, Dr. Ehsanul Haque Masum, Medical Officer Dr. Mithun Saha, Ophthalmologist Dr. AR Mollah Babul Rashid along with expert doctors and nurses provided medical care. Magura District Civil Surgeon Dr. Shahidullah Dewan visited the medical camp and said that the free medical care campaign is indeed a very good initiative. I applaud Magura Reporters Unity for successfully carrying out this great initiative. And for those who have received medical care here today, we will provide full support in providing medical care in the future. President of Magura Reporters Unity HN Kamrul Islam said that medical camp was organized by Magura Reporters Unity on the occasion of National Mourning Day. This is an ongoing process of ours, we will conduct this free medical camp in every upazila and union inshallah. All the members and leaders of Magura Reporters Unity were present at this time.
