Tributes and various programs at Bangabandhu's portrait on National Mourning Day in Tangail

Md. Rashed Khan Menon (Russell), Tangail: The 47th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day-2022 of the great architect of freedom Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed with humble respect, due dignity and solemnity by the district administration and district police in Tangail. On the occasion of the day (August 15), humble tributes were paid by laying wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Public Service Square and Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park next to the Deputy Commissioner's office on Monday. After the wreath laying, all those present stood silently and paid deep respect to the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and prayed for the peace of the souls of all the martyrs of his family. A discussion meeting was held on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 47th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day-2022 organized by the district administration. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Md. President of District Awami League and Administrator of Zilla Parishad Ekushe Medal winner Fazlur Rahman Khan Farooq was the chief guest in the program presided over by Ataul Gani.
