Meanwhile, when journalist Rabiul Islam Rabi got angry when he went to the scene and took a picture of the tree cutting, the former policeman tried to take away the mobile phone by abusing and attacking him in unspeakable language. Journalist leaders have expressed strong condemnation and anger in this incident. The incident took place at the gate of Sindurna 1 Government Primary School of the upazila on Friday afternoon. Anwar Hossain Sindurna, who attacked the journalist, is the son of Mahbubur Rahman Mahu, former headmaster of Government Primary School No. 1 area. Besides, it is known that he was working in the police. The victim, Rabiul Islam, is the Hatibandha upazila representative of Rabi Ajker newspaper. It is known that the former policeman Anwar Hossain was cutting a tree on the side of the Sindurna Government Primary School No. 1 of the upazila on Friday afternoon. Journalist Rabiul Islam Ravi went to the scene and took pictures of the tree cutting. Anwar Hossain got angry at this and started abusing in unspeakable language. At one point, the journalist attacked Ravi and tried to take away the mobile phone. At that time, some local youths saved the journalist Ravi from the hands of Anwar Hossain. Rabiul Islam Robi, Hatibandha upazila correspondent of Ajker newspaper, said, I went there and took pictures after receiving the news. After that, when I approached him to inquire about this, he got angry, abused and assaulted me and tried to take away the mobile phone. Hatibandha upazila representative of Dainik Kaler Kanth, Hasan Mahmud expressed strong condemnation and anger and said that with each passing day, such behavior of criminals against journalists is increasing. If journalists continue to be attacked day after day, freedom of journalism will be lost. So I request the attention of the police to quickly arrest the culprit. General Secretary of Hatibandha Press Club Nooral Haque said, Hatibandha Press Club strongly condemns and protests this incident. We demand arrest of Anwar who attacked journalist Rabiul Islam Robi and take legal action against him. Hatibandha Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Lokman Hossain's mobile number 01733300219 was called to inquire about this, but he did not receive the call. In this regard, Hatibandha Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nazir Hossain said that if the person has cut down the tree on the government road then legal action will be taken against him. .
