Two women were injured in an attack by opponents over a land dispute in Pabna

Tofazzal Hossain Babu, Pabna: Due to a dispute over land, two women were allegedly beaten up and beaten with sharp weapons by the opponent. The incident took place in Kushiara village of Bara upazila of Pabna last Wednesday (August 10) afternoon. A seriously injured Rukaiya Parveen Lata (32) has been admitted to Bara Upazila Health Complex. In this incident, the victim woman Jahanara Khatun filed a written complaint with the police station. According to the written complaint, there was a previous dispute with Abdus Chamad, Ashkar Ali Gong of the same village with Jahanara Khatun, wife of deceased Majid Master of that village and information officer of Chakla Union Parishad. Last Wednesday, Jahanara Khatun was apportioning her husband's ancestral property and proprietary property in Karai Sur by Amin. At that time, Abdus Chamad, Ashkar Ali Gong verbally abused Jahanara Khatun, her son Tarek and daughter Rukaiya Parveen Lata due to previous enmity. When they were prohibited from abusing them, the accused, with at least 15/20 sharp domestic weapons, brutally beat up Jahanara Khatun's daughter Rukaiya Parveen Lata. At that time, when his mother came forward, the attackers also beat her. Later, when the bystanders came forward on their screams, the assailants fled after threatening to kill them. The seriously injured Rukaiya Parveen Lata has been admitted to Bara Upazila Health Complex. And Jahanara Khatun was given first aid. Later, Jahanara Khatun accused 20 people in this incident and filed a written complaint at Bara Model Police Station that night. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bara Model Police Station Asaduzzaman said, I have received a complaint. Necessary legal action will be taken after investigation.
