The government has failed to manage the state: Fakhrul

News Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the government has failed in running the state. He made this comment after visiting the grave of late BNP founder Ziaur Rahman and Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's younger son Arafat Rahman Koko on the occasion of his 53rd birth anniversary at the capital's Banani cemetery on Friday (August 12). Mirza Fakhrul said, "As long as this government is in power, people's suffering will increase. Fuel and water prices have increased. Government corruption is sky high. The government has failed to run the state.” Criticizing Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader's statement, Mirza Fakhrul said, "They are giving old statements all the time. Awami League has been defeated in the streets. They will be defeated by the people's movement in the coming days as well." Secretary General of BNP also said, "On behalf of the party, we have visited Arfat Rahman's grave. He was a humble man. The foundation of Bangladesh's sports progress has been laid through him. He was not involved in politics. However, a case has been filed against him. We vow today to transform our grief into energy to overthrow this monstrous government and establish a truly people's government."
