Rape case against Chhatra League secretary in Bogra Sonatala

Sanju Roy, Bogra: Sujan Kumar Ghosh, General Secretary of Sonatala Upazila Chhatra League of Bogra, has been accused of raping a housewife. The 30-year-old housewife filed a case at Sonatala Police Station on Tuesday afternoon. Accused Sujan Kumar Ghosh is the son of Subhash Ghosh of Namazkhali village. Officer-in-charge of Sonatala police station Jalal Uddin confirmed the matter. According to the source of the case, the victim housewife is a neighbor of Chhatra League leader Sujan and mother of two children. Her husband works as a laborer in an oil depot in Bogra city. He leaves home every morning for work and returns home at night. On this occasion, Chhatra League leader Sujan has been raping the housewife for the past three years. Last on July 25, Sujan raped the housewife and threatened not to tell anyone showing party influence. In the meantime, the housewife reported the matter to her husband and a case was registered at Sonatala police station on Tuesday. In this regard, the officer in charge of Sonatala police station Jalal Uddin said that based on the complaint of the housewife, they have already accepted the case subject to investigation. Their operation to arrest the accused Chhatra League leader Sujon is ongoing.
