There is nothing to be so restless, Commerce Minister on fuel price hike

News Desk: Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has commented that there is nothing to be so restless about increasing the price of fuel oil.

He said, some people may suffer due to the increase in oil prices. But some suffering will lead to the future. The Prime Minister understands the problems of the common people. He does not want to trouble the common people. It was done for their good.

He said these things at the seminar titled 'Bangabandhu's Economic and Commercial Thoughts' organized at the FBCCI office in the capital on Sunday (August 7). The seminar was organized by FBCCI, the apex body of businessmen.

The Minister of Commerce said that many people are making various comments about the price of fuel oil. We have to be careful about these things. Our country has progressed and developed in the last 14 years. Prime Minister takes some decisions for good. He does not take decisions without purpose.

He said that the Prime Minister has a long-term plan for the future. Due to this, the price of oil has increased. There is nothing to be so restless about rising fuel prices.

The seminar was also attended by Prime Minister's private and investment adviser Salman F. Rahman, former governor of Bangladesh Bank. Atiur Rahman, former executive director M Mahfuzur Rahman, chairman of Bengal Group and Member of Parliament Morshed Alam, former president of FBCI Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, former president of MCCI Nihad Kabir, former member of Tariff Commission.
