2 arrested with 10 one-shooter guns in RAB raid in Pabna

Tofazzal Hossain, Pabna: RAB arrested two arms dealers with 10 one-shooter guns in Pabna. On Friday (August 5) afternoon, a raiding team of RAB conducted a raid at Ataikula Madhpur intersection of Santhia upazila based on secret information and arrested them. Acting company commander of RAB ASP Kishore Roy gave this information in a press conference that afternoon. According to RAB, the arrested are Biplab Molla (30) son of Boalmari Romjan Molla of Santhia Upazila and Liton Islam (32) son of Chandu Islam of the same area. During RAB's interrogation, they said that they made various parts of the weapons in the workshop of Biblab and Liton Santhia upazila at Bowlmari Bazar and then set and painted these parts late at night in the bushes near the Pabna Irrigation Project pump of Bowlmari. We went with them to those places and recovered various abandoned parts and evidence of weapon manufacture. They had been buying and selling these indigenous weapons in different parts of the country for a long time. A case under Arms Act has been registered against them at Ataikula police station.
