Farooq Hossain, Chapainawabganj: The country's second largest Chapainawabganj Sonamsjid land port has collected more than Tk 150 crore more than the revenue target for the fiscal year 2021-2022. Customs officer Syed Mokadesh Hossain informed this on Thursday (August 4) morning. He said that the country's second largest land port is Chapainawabganj Sonamsjid land port. Stones, onions, garlic, ginger, cosmetics and fruits are imported from India through this port. In this financial year, due to the import of other products including fruits, the revenue has been collected more. The target of revenue collection in the financial year 2021-2022 at Sonamsjid land port is set at Tk 828 crore 83 lakh 69 thousand. Against that, the revenue collected was 971 crores 15 lakhs 54 thousand taka. In this financial year, about 150 crores of revenue has been collected more than the target through Sonamsjid land port. However, the official said that the second largest land port Chapainawabganj Sonamsjid land port in the current fiscal year 2022-2023 has not set the revenue collection target.
