Uterus-breast cancer will be prevented by Prime Minister's initiative

News Desk: Professor Dr. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice-Chancellor. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed said, the development of Bangladesh's health sector has been appreciated all over the world as a result of the special initiative of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. Among his many initiatives in the health sector, a particularly important one is the 'Population Based Cervical and Breast Cancer Screening Program with Electronic Data Tracking' to prevent cervical and breast cancer. Cervical and breast cancer of the country will be prevented through this initiative.

He said this at the certificate distribution ceremony at the end of a training on population-based cervical and breast cancer screening program with electronic data tracking in the conference room of F block of the university on Wednesday (August 3) afternoon.

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) organized a six-day Advanced Training on Colposcopy program. Cervical and breast cancer prevention certificates were distributed among highly trained doctors at the event.

Along with the teachers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dr. Tata Memorial Hospital of India as a trainer. Joydip Bhowmik trained the participants in the programme.

In the speech of the chief guest at the certificate distribution ceremony, Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed said, under the population-based cervical and breast cancer screening program with electronic data tracking, the doctors of all the upazila districts of Bangladesh are being given advanced training to perform cervical and breast cancer screening. I believe that cervical cancer and breast cancer will be eradicated from Bangladesh on the day trained doctors from all over the country can work together.
