News Desk: The City-Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested a person named Shahriar Azam Akash on the charge of stealing lakhs of rupees through fraud by hacking Facebook account and using pictures of sick and distressed people. Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) Suranjana Saha of the e-fraud team of the City-Cyber ​​Crime Investigation Division gave this information on Wednesday (August 3). An iPhone, two button phones, Apple MacBook Air and used Bikash numbers were seized from him. Suranjana Saha said, during various online monitoring, several pages like Help For Masum, Help For Tahmid, and other pages asking for help by posting pictures of seriously ill people and children came to notice, where Bikash and Cash numbers were also found. to give Feel free to share the posts if you can't help it anymore. Cyber ​​police started working with some such pages. At one point he was arrested from Jessore after identifying the location. He said that Akash hacked Facebook IDs of various people through phishing links. Later, many similar pages like Help For Masum, Help For Tahmid opened from the hacked ID. After that, he posted pictures of seriously ill and helpless children and appealed for help. He uses 'dollars' to boost posts so that they reach more people. Seeing those posts, heart-felt people send money to the number given by him. With the money earned in development, he bought dollars from various individuals through the cryptocurrency exchange website binance.com. Later he sold these dollars and took money from different people in his Bikash number. In this way, in the last two months, he embezzled about 12 lakh rupees through fraud. At the time of his arrest, more than 100 hacked Facebook IDs were recovered from Akash.
