Akbar Ali Munshi is the new Superintendent of Police in Pabna

Tofazzal Hossain, Pabna: For the first time in the history of the country, Bangladesh Police has appointed new Superintendent of Police (SP) in 40 districts. A notification has been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs confirming the matter on Wednesday (03 August). Pabnao is among the newly appointed Superintendents of Police. Akbar Ali Munshi has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police in Pabna. He is serving as Superintendent of Police of Netrakona district. The present Superintendent of Police of Pabna, Mohibul Islam Khan, was recently promoted as Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police (Additional DIG). Earlier in December 2020, Superintendent of Police of Kurigram Mohammad Mohibul Islam Khan was transferred to Pabna. He was widely appreciated by the people of Pabna district as the Superintendent of Police. Apart from controlling the law and order situation in the district, he stood by the unemployed people during the corona epidemic. Mahibul Islam Khan BPM has earned his reputation by always mixing with common people.
