Sports Desk: It's rain without asking for a cloud! Nurul Hasan Sohan himself was surprised. He has been given the captaincy for the upcoming T20 series in Zimbabwe. Sohan has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders even if he gets the lead for only one series. Because the team is not doing well in this format. That is why he has been put in this position.
After receiving the captaincy, Sohan held an official press conference in the media room of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today. There he said that although the responsibility of the captain makes him proud, he is not thrilled about it at all.
Sohan said, 'There is nothing to worry about. I'm trying to be normal. Of course it is a matter of pride but nothing of thrill. It's definitely a big challenge again, which I want to enjoy.'
Sohan knows how much pressure is on him even if he gets the lead for only 3 matches. He wants to overcome that pressure with party efforts.
Sohan explains, 'It's definitely a matter of pride. Thinking about the challenges ahead. No chance to get too excited. The main goal is to give your best as a team.'
Sohan added, 'When I captained domestic cricket, I always had one thought - to play as a team. Let's play as a team in Zimbabwe. Team atmosphere is also important to me. Not everyone will perform. Team members should enjoy each other's success. This culture and playing as a team is important.”
