Mejba Rahman, Bashemurbiprabi representative: Md. Rubel Sarkar, a student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (Bashemurbiprabi) received South Korea's most prestigious and popular scholarship 'Korean Government Scholarship Program' (KGSP).
He is a student of Applied Physics Electronics and Communication Engineering (APECE) department of the university (2012-13). Later this department was converted into Electronic and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department.
Through the scholarship, this meritorious student will have the opportunity to pursue a master's degree at Gyeongsang National University in Korea at the full cost of the Korean government. During the program, he will be paid 600,000 yuan per month for monthly expenses, medical fees and housing rent. Besides, health and life insurance, travel alliance, airfare are also available.
Earlier, in March of this year, the Korean government's National Institute for International Education (NIIED) website invited students from all over the world who are interested in doing masters and PhD. Later after application and showing all the merits, Rubel Sarkar is nominated for the scholarship.
In this regard, Rubel Sarkar said, first of all, I am thankful to the great creator for getting this scholarship. Also, I am grateful to all the teachers including my parents. In fact, to get something, you have to stick to it. Indomitable desire and relentless effort bring success to people.
When asked what to do for students interested in Korean government scholarship, he also said that you must have good CGPA results to apply for this scholarship. However, if someone has a recommendation letter from a Korean university teacher, then one can be quite ahead in this regard. Students who have done IELTS are also given consideration for this scholarship However, students who have completed TOPIK are given more priority than students who have completed IELTS. Also, if there are research papers published by students in domestic and foreign journals, submitting them can be a lot ahead.
