5 lakh rupees seized from an Indian citizen in Heli

Salah Uddin, Dinajpur: The Heli Customs authorities seized Bangladeshi Taka 5 lakh from an Indian citizen at the Heli immigration check post in Dinajpur. On Saturday, the Indian citizen entered Bangladesh legally with a passport. However, the money was seized but released without taking legal action. The name of that Indian passport holder is Mithun Sarkar. According to the customs authorities, the Indian national entered the immigration in Bangladesh legally on Saturday. At that time, 5 lakh rupees were found in his waist after checking the luggage. As they could not show the validity of carrying the money, they seized it because of the illegal means of carrying the money. Among the recovered currency were 3 bundles of Bangladeshi 1000 rupees and 4 bundles of 500 rupees (notes). The Indian passport passenger was released after confiscating 5 lakh rupees.
