Human chain of ordinary students in Bashemurbiprabi to remove Islamic calligraphy

Mejba Rahman, Bashemurbiprabi representative: General students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology (Bashemurbiprabi) of Gopalganj formed a human chain to protest against the removal of Islamic calligraphy written as a protest against the insult of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The human chain was held in front of the administrative building of the university at 1 pm on Wednesday (July 20) in the presence of hundreds of students. Meanwhile, the students raised six-point demands with various protest slogans. At that time, the ordinary students said that the ordinary students painted this calligraphy to protest against insulting the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. But very sadly after coming to the campus after Eid we find that these calligraphy have been removed. It has hurt our religious sentiments. Through this, some conspirators are trying to destabilize and incite communalism in the university. Meanwhile, they have warned of strict agitation from next Sunday if it is not dealt with fairly. At the same time, they demanded the university administration to ensure the coexistence of students of all religions in the university named after Bangabandhu according to the constitution of Bangladesh and university law. The 6 point demands raised by them are- 1. If the administration takes the task of erasing the Islamic calligraphy written in protest against the insulting of the Holy Prophet, then all the murals in the campus should be erased, otherwise the culprits should be brought under punishment after seeing the TV footage. 2. The necessary environment to protect Islamic values ​​should be ensured throughout the campus and those who destroy Islamic values ​​should be brought under punishment. 3. All forms of Islamophobia must be stopped. Harassment of those who follow the rules of Islam must stop. 4. A two-day long Islamic festival has to be organized from this year to reach the good and great message of Islam. 5. Separate ablution and prayer space for girls should be provided in the academic building. 6. If the above demand is not accepted by next Sunday, strict action will be taken and further action will be taken after talking to the students. In this regard, Dr. Proctor. Incidentally, recently, ordinary students drew Islamic calligraphy in various places of the university as part of protest and expression of love for insulting the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, by Indian BJP leader Nupur Sharma. All the financing of calligraphy was borne by them themselves.
