Import-export activities of Banglabandha land port closed for 7 days on Eid

SK Doel, Tentulia: All kinds of import-export activities will be closed for eight days at Banglabandha land port, the only four-country land port in the country (Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Bhutan), including the Eid-ul-Azha weekly holiday, a religious festival of the Muslim community. However, the movement of passengers with passports will remain normal. Jahangir Alam, joint convener of Banglabandha Land Port C&F Agents Association, said the import and export activities of Banglabandha Land Port will be closed for the next seven days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Abdul Latif Tarin, President of Banglabandha Land Port Import-Export Group, said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, all activities including Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agent (C&F) Association and Land Port Import-Export Group will be closed. The import-export activities of the port will start as usual from Saturday morning, July 18. According to the customs of Banglabandha Land Port, all the services related to the port will continue to be provided even if the import and export of the port is closed for 7 days on the occasion of Eid and the import and export of goods will continue as usual from Saturday morning. Banglabandha Land Port Immigration OC Nazrul Islam said that even if the import-export is stopped at this time, the movement of passengers with passports will remain normal.
