Sports Desk: In the first week of the change of team in European football, the Spanish club Barcelona transferred two players to the team in a free transfer a few hours apart on the same day. Coach Xavi Hernandez has signed Ivory Coast midfielder Frank Casey of Italian club AC Milan and Danish defender Andres Kristensen of English club Chelsea. On Monday (July 4), Barcelona confirmed in separate statements that the two players would be included in the squad. On Wednesday, they will be introduced to the audience at the New Camp. Barca have signed four-year contracts with Frank Casey and Kristensen. And Christiansen's buy-out clause is 500 million euros. Casey shined in Italian football for Atlanta in the 2016-17 season. The following season, AC Milan borrowed him. The traditional Italian club bought him in 2019 for 33 million euros due to his impressive performance there. In all, Casey spent five years at AC Milan, winning the Serie A title. On the other hand, 26-year-old Sentak-back Christiansen has been at Chelsea since the beginning of his career. He has played 161 matches for the club since his debut in 2014. For Chelsea, Christianensen has won several other titles, including the Premier League and the Champions League. Between 2015 and 2016, he played for German club Borussia Monchengladbach.
