Accused of killing housewife in Pabna; Husband detained

Pabna Correspondent: A housewife named Chabina Khatun (32) has been accused of killing her husband due to a family quarrel in Aminpur of Bera upazila of Pabna. Police have arrested Shipon Sheikh, 38, husband of the deceased, for questioning after the incident. The body of a housewife was recovered from a pond in Dayrampur village of Ruppur union of Aminpur police station on Tuesday (July 5) morning. The deceased was identified as Chabina, daughter of late Nawaz Mollah of Payakandi Khanmarich area of ​​the same union. The arrested Shipon is the son of late Aku Sheikh of Hatkhali Union. According to family and locals, the deceased was identified as housewife Chabina Khatun, a mother of three. They were married a decade ago. Family members have not been able to find the housewife since Monday night. On Tuesday morning, the locals informed the police station after seeing his body floating in a pond near the house. Police later recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Pabna General Hospital morgue for autopsy. However, the police have not yet revealed the main secret of the murder. Aminpur Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Raushan Ali said a preliminary investigation revealed that the housewife had been stabbed in the abdomen after being strangled to death. A case is pending in this regard. Her husband has been detained from home for questioning as a suspect in the incident. We are investigating the cause of death of the housewife. Hopefully the real facts will come out very soon. Meanwhile, local residents and family complained that the van driver Shipon, the husband of the deceased Chabina, was a regular gambler. Recently a pet animal has been sold as a sacrificial animal. The money from the sale of the animal went to the housewife Chabina. Shipon could kill his wife to get that money.
