Another 36 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital

News Desk: The number of dengue patients is constantly increasing. In the last 24 hours, 36 people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country, including the capital, after contracting Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. At present, 144 dengue patients are admitted in hospitals across the country.

On Monday (July 4), the Health Department's Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room in-charge Dr. This information has been given in a press release signed by Mohammad Zahidul Islam.

According to the report, 36 new cases of dengue were admitted in different hospitals of the country between 8 am on Sunday and Monday. 31 of them are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka. Of them, seven are undergoing treatment at Mugda Medical College Hospital in the capital. Five people are receiving treatment outside Dhaka.

At present, a total of 144 people have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country due to dengue. Of them, 125 are undergoing treatment at 47 government and private hospitals in Dhaka. 19 people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the Department of Health, a total of 1,238 people have been hospitalized with dengue from January 1 to July 4 this year. Of these, 1,093 people have recovered and left the hospital. However, no dengue patient has been reported dead in the last 24 hours. However, one person died of dengue on June 21.

Although there was not much dengue infection during the Corona epidemic in 2020, 26,429 people were infected with dengue fever in 2021 and 105 people died.
