Sanju Roy, Bogra: In a separate operation conducted by the District Detective Branch (DB) in Bogra, four persons were arrested from Sadar's Tinmatha and Dhunat upazilas along with 6 kg of cannabis and 35 bottles of Fencidil. A press release issued by the district intelligence branch on Monday confirmed the details of the separate operation. According to the notification, DB conducted a raid in front of a residential hotel in Tinmatha area of ​​Sadar upazila around 9:30 am on Monday on the basis of secret information. At that time, DB members arrested two people with 8 kg of cannabis. The two arrested are Chandan Chandra Debnath, 29, son of late Gridesh Debnath of Mahadevpur upazila in Naogaon district and Tariqul Islam, 28, son of Saidur Rahman. On the other hand, two persons were arrested with 35 bottles of Fencidil in a raid in Dakshinpara area of ​​Dhunat's Chowkibari around 9:30 pm on Sunday. The two arrested are Sabuj Hossain, 24, son of late Shukur Ali of Sirjaganj district and Rubel Rana, 25, son of Abu Bakkar Siddique. DB police in-charge (inspector) Saihan Oliullah said a case has been filed against the four arrested under the existing Narcotics Act. They have been sent to jail through the courts. He said that this anti-drug campaign will continue.
