Chapainawabganj Municipality 3rd Ward Councilor Raju Abuse, Complaint to Police

Faruk Hossain, Chapainawabganj: Raju Ahmed, a councilor of ward 3 of Chapainawabganj municipality, has been accused of abusing a woman. The woman lodged a complaint at the Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station. The victim was identified as Ajmatul Khatun, wife of Mahabul Haque of Shiala Colony area of ​​Chapainawabganj Municipality. According to the complaint lodged against Councilor Raju at the police station, there was a dispute with Nur Islam, a neighbor of Azmatul Khatun, over road land. When the people of Nur Islam called Raju Councilor to settle the land dispute, Raju Councilor spoke on their behalf. When the woman protested that the settlement was not fair, he abused her. Ajmatul Khatun said; 'The Raju councilor came to settle the land dispute with my neighbor Nur Islam and scolded me in vulgar language. He has been elected in our vote, why listen to his blasphemy. I want justice for this. ' Accused Councilor Raju said; 'The woman's husband is my closest younger brother. Being the wife of the younger brother, I just did a little tui-tukari. The allegations made against me at the police station are motivated. Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mozaffar Hossain said; 'A woman named Ajmatul of Shiala Colony has lodged a complaint with the police against Raju Councilor for abusing her. An SI has been assigned to investigate the incident. Legal action will be taken after receiving the investigation report.
