Demonstration rally in Dinajpur to protest teacher killing and torture, human chain

Salah Uddin, Dinajpur: Various teachers' organizations staged a joint rally in front of Dinajpur Press Club on Monday demanding exemplary punishment for those involved in the beating of a teacher in Savar. They have gathered in front of the press club till 12 noon with an hour-long human chain program. Members of the district committee of Bangladesh Teachers Association, Jamiatul Modarresin, Madrasa Teachers Association, Teachers Society and Bangladesh College Teachers Association took part in it. At the end of the rally, they protested on the main road of the city. They have demanded exemplary punishment for those involved in protecting the dignity of teachers. Atiqur Rahman New, convener of the Committee for Implementation of Remedy for Killing and Torture of Teachers, SM Shahjahan Chowdhury, Principal of Chandganj College, Abdur Rashid, General Secretary of Sadar Upazila Committee of Jamiatul Modarresin, Joynal Abedin, Headmaster of Shankarpur High School, , Bangla School headmaster Nezamul Islam, College Teachers Association president Mahbubur Rahman, Jamiatul Modarresin district committee general secretary Abdur Razzak Mia, former KBM college principal Saifuddin and former headmaster of Swardeswari Girls High School Shafiqul Islam among others.
