Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has condemned and protested the statement of Awami League, a terrorist-dependent political party. He said the people of this country know very well which party is the sponsor of terrorism.

He made the protest in a statement sent to the media on Sunday (July 3rd).

Obaidul Quader said that the BNP leaders have made ridiculous allegations that the Awami League is a terrorist-based political party. But the people of the country know very well which party is the sponsor of terrorism and whose political philosophy is dependent on terrorism.

He said the BNP is the originator and nurturer of terrorism in the politics of this country. While in power, they sponsored terrorism.

‘With the direct help and patronage of their top leadership, a brutal grenade attack was carried out on August 21, 2004 to assassinate Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. They are also perpetuating the terror of fire and the horrible culture of burning living people in this country. '

Referring to the BNP as an isolated party, Quader said those who are isolated, those who have no soil under their feet, those who are notorious for their anti-politics, terrorist activities are their political tools. Standing against this terrorism, the Bangladesh Awami League has carried out the politics of public welfare by holding the aspirations of the people.

‘The BNP was not established through a mass base or as an organized effort of the people. The BNP was created by holding the people hostage in the face of the gun of a cruel dictator. Since its inception, the BNP has been known to the people as a terrorist-oriented and conspiratorial political party.

‘Not only in the country, but also in Canada, the court has identified the BNP as a terrorist group. Not only is the BNP dependent on terrorism, but it has also established itself as an anti-development and anti-progress force. They should understand that the minds of the people of this country are not soaked in the rain of words. People know their true selves behind masks. '

In a statement, the Awami League general secretary said that the political power of the party is gradually declining, their imaginary allegations will increase day by day - this is normal. BNP leaders are holding public photo sessions with Banavasi people. Helping them with a pinch is nothing but cruel irony with human suffering. People want to get rid of the BNP's public relief in the name of help.

‘The present government led by the successful statesman Sheikh Hasina and the leaders and workers of Bangladesh Awami League are by the side of the people. It was in the past, it will be in the future. And those who see politics as a tool to change their destiny, those who were born to perpetuate dictatorship and usurp power, are also politicizing the plight of the people. '

He further said that BNP leaders in Sonagazi of Feni have staged a drama in the name of distributing relief. They came back from Feni and held a press conference. If they had political will and courage, they would have tried to stand by the people.

‘BNP’s relief activities are a kind of relief luxury. They are more focused on press briefings than helping. As long as the BNP does not give up anti-politics and focuses on the welfare of the people, the people will reject all their tactics with hatred.
