Kurigram Correspondent: A progress review and planning meeting has been held at Kurigram district level on risk assessment, communication, public engagement and strengthening vaccination message in the prevention of Kovid-19. Civil Surgeon Dr. was present as the chief guest at the review meeting held at the Solidarity Conference Room in Trimohani on Sunday morning. Manzur-e-Morshed. Civil Surgeon Dr. Humayun Kabir Surya presided over the review and planning meeting chaired by journalist Humayun Kabir Surya with the financial support of UNICEF and the initiative of The Hunger Project. Golam Mohaimen Russell, Rajesh Dey, Regional Coordinator, The Hunger Project, Rangpur Region, Golam Haqqani, District Information Officer, Rabbi Shamim, Khandaker Rashedul Alam Apu, District Coordinator. 35 representatives from 8 upazilas of Kurigram district participated in the review meeting. During the discussion with 5,025 people through various backyard meetings on Covid-19, it was found that so far 98 per cent of them have been vaccinated with the first dose, 95 per cent with the second dose and 75 per cent with the booster or 3rd dose. According to the civil surgeon, so far 61.5 per cent people have given the first dose in the district, the second dose 7.6 per cent and the 3rd dose about 20 per cent. He advises on involving more people in vaccination activities through public awareness.
