‘I will do whatever needs to be done for the party’: Raushan Ershad

News Desk: Raushan Ershad, Leader of the Opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad and the main patron of the party, has said that he will do whatever is necessary to strengthen the Jatiya Party. He made the remarks at an exchange of views with party leaders at various levels at the Westin Hotel in Gulshan on Saturday (July 2nd). He said, “Mr. Ershad has formed this team wholeheartedly. We have to work with everyone. A lot of good leaders are out of the team, they have to be brought into the team. The new generation must be brought into the team. Many senior leaders including Kazi Zafar, Shah Moazzem, Anwar Hossain Manju have left the party and arrangements have to be made to bring them back. We have to make the party equal to Awami League and BNP. ” Raushan Ershad said angrily, “I was treated in a hospital in Thailand for six long months. No one from the party looked for me. I've been looking for everyone. But those who have been expelled from the team are looking for me regularly. He has prayed in various places of worship including mosques and shrines. ” Complaining that arbitrariness is going on in Jatiya Party, Raushan Ershad said, “Pallibandhu Ershad is not there. If he had, the party would have been different.
