Robbery at the house of a businessman in Baufel

Baufal Patuakhali: A robbery took place at the house of a businessman named Ruhul Amin of Suryamani Union in Baufal. The robbery took place around 3 am on Thursday. The robbers took the people of the house hostage at gunpoint. The gold ornaments were looted along with various goods including cash. Police visited the scene on Friday morning. It is learned that around 3 pm on the day of the incident, 4-5 masked robbers entered the house by cutting the window grill of Ruhul Amin Sikder. The people of the house took him hostage at gunpoint. Then they broke the cupboard of the house and took away the unique goods in the house along with 18 lakh gold ornaments and one lakh 60 thousand rupees in cash. Ruhul Amin Sikder is doing business in Nuranpur market after spending a long time in exile. Baufal Police Station Bakhrapat Officer (OC) Al Mamun said police had visited the spot. Police are working to arrest the culprits.
