News Desk: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal's proposed budget of Tk 6 lakh 7 thousand 74 crore (FY 2022-23) has been passed in the National Assembly. Implementation of the budget will start from Friday (July 1). The budget for the fiscal year 2022-23 was passed by a unanimous vote of the members of parliament in the closing session of the budget chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury on Thursday (June 30). In implementing the budget, the government will have to face the challenge of calculating a deficit of Tk 2,45,064 crore throughout the year. As a result of the implementation of the budget, on the one hand, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) will take the initiative to achieve the target of additional revenue, on the other hand, it will also create a pressure on the taxpayers to impose additional taxes. That is why in some cases extra money has to be counted for the purchase of goods and services, and in some cases it will be possible to get it at a lower price than before. On June 9, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal presented the budget in Parliament. During the session, the MPs discussed various issues related to the proposed budget. This is the first time in the last two years since the Corona epidemic that MPs have been present in person and there has been a long discussion on the proposed budget.
