International Desk: Six police officers were injured and two suspected assailants were killed in a gunfight outside a bank in British Columbia, Canada. Authorities say the incident took place outside Sanich's Montreal Bank on Tuesday, local time. According to CNN, police received information that two armed men had entered the bank around 11 am. They came to the spot soon after. Dean Duthi, chief constable of the Sanich police department, said the suspects were killed during an exchange of fire with police. However, no one inside the bank was injured. Duthi said it was the worst attack he had seen in his 27-year career in the Greater Victoria area. "It's amazing that no civilians were injured in that incident," he said. At the press conference, officials said the suspects were armed with heavy weapons. They are thought to have been wearing bullet-resistant vests. Sanich police said on their website that the suspects were suspected to have explosives in their vehicles. So everyone has been evacuated from homes and businesses in the vicinity of the scene.
