Imran calls for protests in Islamabad again

Former Pakistani Prime Minister and current Leader of the Opposition Imran Khan has again called for anti-government protests. In a recent video message, he said there would be an anti-government rally on July 2 at the Parade Ground in Islamabad.

At the rally, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) called on activists and supporters across the country to join the party.

In a video message, Imran Khan said, "People who are watching me in Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Multan and all the major cities of the country are listening. I want to see you all at the Parade Ground on Saturday (July 2) night." Come in groups, take part in the protests নয় not for me, but for yourself and your children. '

Earlier on May 25, former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan staged a protest called the Independence March demanding early elections after he was ousted from power. Seba was also scheduled to hold a massive protest rally in Islamabad.

But after six days of government intervention, the independence march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was thwarted.

Imran Khan, who lost his post as prime minister in a vote of no-confidence in Pakistan's parliament on April 10, said in a video message: "This government is in power illegally. The common man must now take the responsibility of securing the future of the country and the nation. '

‘The shackles of fear are a very bad thing. Once you are submissive, this shackle will enslave you, forcing you to do injustice to yourself. Break this chain. '

Noting that the government led by Shahbaz Sharif is leading Pakistan towards a "failed state", Imran said, "So far it is clear that they have no plans to repair the country's economy and control liquidity." They are only busy covering up their corruption. '

A report in Pakistan's national daily Dawn said top PTI leaders sat in on Monday (June 26th). During the meeting, they discussed the overall political situation in the country, rising inflation and future action plans.

The PTI leaders also condemned the vote rigging in the local government elections and expressed concern over the failure of the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold fair, transparent and credible elections.

Apart from this, the preparation of the protest rally at the parade ground on July 2 was also discussed at the meeting of the party's policy-making committee. The PTI's Rawalpindi and Islamabad branches have also been directed to intensify preparations for the protest rally and launch a maximum campaign to make the rally historic.

In a video message, Imran Khan said he would lead a protest rally at the Parade Ground on July 2.
