Sports Desk: Hundreds of thousands of people in Sylhet and Sunamganj have been affected by the catastrophic floods. Relief efforts from various quarters, both public and private, are now the only hope for the flood victims. Former Bangladesh national cricket team captain Mushfiqur Rahim has joined the relief effort this time.

It is learned that Mushfiqur has provided all his one month salary to the flood victims through a local voluntary organization. A member of the voluntary organization involved in relief activities in Sylhet and Sunamganj said, "We have received Rs 6 lakh from Mushfiqur Bhai. We will help one and a half thousand families with this money. I will provide them cooked food. '

On June 16, Mushfiqur wrote on his verified Facebook page praying for the Banavasis of Sylhet and Sunamganj, "I am praying for the flood-hit Sylhet and other parts of the country." May Allah Almighty forgive us all and save us from this situation. Let us all apologize and pray for our loved ones. '

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has also stood by the flood victims in Sylhet and Sunamganj. On June 21, the company sent 5,000 packets of food and daily necessities to the Banavasis.

Mushfiqur is not with the Bangladesh team even though they are currently on a tour of the West Indies. He has taken leave from this series to perform the holy Hajj.
