A schoolboy died after being cut by a train in Pabna

Tofazzal Hossain, Pabna: A schoolboy named Nirab Hossain (18) was killed when he was hit by a train at Aminpur in Bera upazila of Pabna. The incident took place around 8:15 am on Saturday (June 25) in the area of ​​the hanging railway bridge in Mashumdia of the upazila. The deceased was identified as Nirab, son of Liton Sardar of Vatikaya village in Raninagar union of Sujanagar upazila and a ninth grade science student of Dhaka Uttara School. According to the locals, the slain youth had taken a leave of absence from school in Dhaka on Friday and came to visit the house of the deceased Abdul Hamid at his grandfather's house in Old Masumdia. He woke up in the morning and was sitting on the railway line next to the hanging bridge and listening to music on his mobile phone with headphones in his ears. He died on the spot when the Rajshahi-bound 'Dhalarchar Express' train from Dhalarchar hit him. The locals blew the horn several times but he could not hear, locals said. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Aminpur Police Station Raushan Ali said, "I have heard such incidents." Police were sent to the spot to rescue the body. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is lodged with the police station. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi Railway Police Station (GRP) Gopal Karmakar said legal action would be taken against the accused Dhalarchar Express train driver.
