Jasim and Yuvraj are waiting for sale in Bogra for 15 lakhs

And on this Eid-ul-Adha, there is a competition in every part of the country for the purchase of good breeds and quality animals. And many farms are hoping to earn some income by selling animals on this Eid of Qurbani by keeping animals throughout the year. Jasmine and Yuvraj, two Holstein Friesian bulls from Bogra, have caught the eye of many in Bogra this time. Abdul Karim, a truck driver by profession, is the chairman of Bhagkola of Mokamatla union of Bogra Shibganj upazila. Truck driver Karim has raised the price of the two cows in the area to Tk 15 lakh. He hopes to be able to sell the two bulls this Eid. It is known that the bull named Jasim is about 6 feet long and 5 and a half feet high. Weighing about 620 kg or 20 and a half pounds, the bull named Yuvraj is about 6 feet long and 4 and a half feet high. Weighs about 800 kg or 16 pounds. Two bulls are four years old. Abdul Karim, the owner of the two bulls, said that he has reared two Phrygian calves in his native way on his home-made farm. As a result of regular feeding and care, the weight of this cow has increased day by day. The two cows have been reared in a completely indigenous manner without any harmful tablets and injections through nutritious food including hay, fresh grass, khail, bhusi, rice husk, maize, boot rice. He said that even though he wanted a price of 15 lakhs, he hoped that he would be able to sell the two cows for 13 to 14 lakhs. However, he did not take the cow to any market and kept it on his farm and tried to sell it through pictures and descriptions through social media. Talking to Sabbir Rahman Sanvi and auto driver Momin, who came to see the two gurus, they said they had never seen such a big cow in Shibganj upazila. The structure of the two cows is quite interesting. The two cows for sacrifice are quite large and well-built. It may be mentioned that 47,015 farmers of 12 upazilas in Bogra have made a total of 4,26,295 cattle eligible for sacrifice ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. This year, there is a demand of 359,365 animals in the district ahead of Eid-ul-Adha. According to the Department of Animal Resources, there are 8,920 animals in excess of the demand.
