News Desk: Former Ambassador Mohiuddin Ahmed has died (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilahi Raziun). He was pronounced dead at the scene of the Asr prayers on Monday (June 20th). Mohiuddin was working as a diplomat in the Pakistan High Commission in London during the War of Liberation. At that time he left Pakistan. In his spare time he wrote regular columns. The great war of liberation in 1971 took place not only in the country but also abroad. Many brave diplomats of our country, not caring about a comfortable life, giving up the illusion of a job, ignoring the prospects of an uncertain future, embarked on another battle for the independence of Bangladesh on foreign soil. Mohiuddin Ahmed was such a brave diplomat. On August 1, 1971, at a pro-liberation rally in London's Trafalgar Square, he announced his resignation from Pakistan. He is the first Bangladeshi diplomat in Europe to leave Pakistan. His wife was pregnant at the time, and his first child was born on August 23, 22 days after the incident.
