Two drug dealers arrested with 60 kg of cannabis

Mostafizur Rahman, Lalmonirhat: The District Narcotics Control Department has arrested two drug traffickers along with 60 kg of cannabis. The company seized a pickup van transporting cannabis. On Tuesday (June 14) at noon, the Drug Control Department raided the Kulaghat area of ​​Lalmonirhat district headquarters and seized two drug dealers along with 80 kg of cannabis and a pickup van. The detainees were identified as Johnny Pramanik, 23, son of Amir Ali Pramanik of Ramaigachhi area in Natore district and Ashiq, 22, son of late Mintu Mollah of the same area. He conducted operations in Kulaghat area of ​​Sadar upazila on the basis of secret information. At that time a pickup van was taking these cannabis elsewhere. People from the Narcotics Control Department seized the pickup van and conducted a search. At that time, they recovered 60 kg of cannabis from the pickup van. Khairul Bashar, assistant director of the district drug control department, said they had confessed to the cannabis trade during interrogation. A case has been registered against the two drug dealers under the Narcotics Control Act at Sadar Police Station and they have been sent to jail.
